NEWS MIDDLE EAST

Iran says CIA is 'terrorist' agency

The US senate has called for Iran's Revolutionary Guards to be labelled a 'terrorist organisation' [AFP]

Iran's parliament has approved a nonbinding resolution to label the CIA and the US army as "terrorist organisations".
The move is seen as a diplomatic tit-for-tat after the US senate also voted in favour of a motion urging the state department to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a "terrorist organisation."

The signing of the resolution by 215 politicians at an open session of the Iranian parliament was broadcast live on television on Saturday.
The statement said: "The aggressor US army and the Central Intelligence Agency are terrorists and also nurture terror."

Depleted uranium

The parliament said the two organisations were terrorists for a number of reasons.

It said they were involved in dropping nuclear bombs in Japan in World War II and used depleted uranium munitions in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq.

It also said they supported the killings of Palestinians by Israel, bombed and killed Iraqi civilians and tortured terror suspects in prisons.

The resolution urges Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's, the Iranian president, government to treat the two as terrorist organisations.

It also paves the way for the resolution to become legislation which, if ratified by the country's constitutional watchdog, would become law.

Awaiting reaction

The government is expected to remain silent over the parliament resolution and wait for US reaction before making its decision.

On Wednesday, the US senate voted 76-22 in favour of a resolution urging the state department to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organisation.

While the proposal attracted overwhelming bipartisan support, a small group of Democrats said they feared labeling the state-run organisation a terrorist group could be interpreted as a congressional authorisation of military force in Iran.

The Bush administration had already been considering whether to blacklist an elite unit within the Revolutionary Guard, subjecting part of the vast military operation to financial sanctions.

Headwind Throughout

comments on the Aegis Video

Headwind Throughout
It is actually a video of someone being totally careless and deliberately disruptive, worst of all -حاميها حراميها- those are the people who are paid and entrusted to provide security in Iraq, they are running around shooting at people. Aegis are the people who made this video, they are currently immune from prosecution.

Then, two days before he left Iraq for good, L. Paul Bremer III, the Coalition Provisional Authority administrator, signed a blanket order immunizing all Americans, because, as one of his former top aides told me, “we wanted to make sure our military, civilians and contractors were protected from Iraqi law.”
This is according to this article, because Iraq the land of the Hammurabi code, Mesopotamia, is so horrific in it's laws that killers and mercenaries need protection from. People focus on the blackwater while there are tens of other companies doing the exact same everyday and no one ever got convicted or even indicted.

Mercenaries

Apparently this is more than a month old, but I never heard of it, so perhaps you didn’t, either. Here is a video of a private contractor, working for Aegis Defense Services, shooting at (and apparently killing) Iraqi civilians in cars. Pretty gruesome and horrible, so please, consider whether you actually want to watch this.

In a Guardian article discussing American mercenaries killing in Iraq:

After initially denying involvement, Aegis, run by former Scots Guard Lt. Col. Tim Spicer, issued a statement saying the shootings were legal and within rules-of-force protocols established by the now-defunct CPA. Those guidelines allow security guards to fire on vehicles that approach too close or too quickly. U.S. Army auditors, in their own investigation, agreed with Aegis.

The video link has an article below it discussing the matter, including the Army “investigation” absolving the shooter. The head of Aegis is a guy named Tim Spicer, who has a pretty sordid history as a mercenary. Technically these guys are in Iraq as “armed guards” providing security, and although there was an addition to the Geneva Conventions in 1977 outlawing the use of mercenaries, the United States is not a signatory.

Bush's vocabulary lesson - Our leaders an idiot

Our leaders an idiot, but we already knew that.
What we didnt know is the people around him are idiots as well.
especially this guy who leaked Bush's cheat sheet to the public
LOL
Whats also funny, is that NOW i understand why Bush sometimes says words
S_L_O_W and with purpose in how he says them.

If you dont know what i mean, listen close to his next speech.
Ive noticed this for a while

White House mistakenly releases Bush's phonetic guide to foreign names

2007/09/26

George Bush's battle to pronounce complicated words has been laid bare after White House officials mistakenly released an unedited copy of his UN speech, complete with phonetic spellings.

White House mistakenly releases Bush's phonetic guide to foreign namesThe script of the President's address to the 192-nation UN General Assembly, which was accidentally distributed to journalists, revealed he is given a phonetic guide to key foreign names including countries and their leaders.

President Bush has trouble with certain words

Among those contained in the speech were "Keyr-geez-stan", the name of Zimbabwean president Robert "Moo-gah-bee" and the name of his new French ally, President "Sar-kozee".

However he was given no help with the pronunciation of the Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, whose name he duly stumbled over.

The President is famous for his verbal slipups. He has particular problems with the word "nuclear", is prone to coining made-up words such as "misunderestimate", and once forgot the name of President Musharraf of Pakistan.

According to David Frum, a former Bush speechwriter, all presidential speeches contain phonetic guides, but passing the unedited version to the press was an "oversight".

Despite the mix-up, the speech was described as eloquent. Mr Bush urged member states to join in a "mission of liberation" and predicted that the "long rule of a cruel dictator is nearing its end" in Cuba, dailymail.co.uk reports.

His words caused anger among the Cuban delegation, who walked out, calling the speech "arrogant and mediocre".

Most of the US delegation in turn left the room when President Ahmadinejad rose to speak, reiterating that Iran's nuclear programme was "completely peaceful and transparent".

Gay GOP Consultants Murdered - Link to Gay GOP Prostitution?

Gay GOP Consultants Murdered - Link to Gay GOP Prostitution?

Wed Aug 29, 2007 at 01:05:44 PM PDT

Wonkette has been tracking this story about three dead Republicans killed in an Orlando home.

http://wonkette.com/...
http://wonkette.com/...

At least two of them were gay. One was a political consultant and you can see a list of his GOP (political) clients at his web site, including Tom Feeney (R FL-24).

His (not gay?) roommate was the former president of the Central Florida Young Republicans. So you know he's not gay.

Police say the killer is a gay Republican former Marine with links to gay escorts and gay porn.

The Brad Blog suggests that one of the victims was being blackmailed with the threat of exposing the prominent GOP clients of a gay escort service.

The hooker angle is pretty tenuous, but the stories of gay prostitution rings servicing the GOP elite have been around for 20 years.

Of course, part of this is the increasingly visible role that gay prostitutes play in the GOP.

Don't confuse the alleged killer with this gay Republican fake former Marine gay escort

...Or this gay Republican former Marine porn star

...Or this former Marine porn star who is not a Republican (well that's kinky!)

Note to the USMC - Guys: WTF? Seriously! WTF?

And don't confuse the Florida Young Republican with this guy.

Jeff Gannon and The Rival Video Company

Are both from Eastern PA. Maybe someone else would like to follow up on that.

-

Gannon story (occasionally); tawdry enough.

But it really piques my curiousity that continuing updates regarding a double homicide/suicide isn't being shoved down everyone's throat in Orlando.

Before you say "so as not to scare off the tourists", trust me, that never stopped them before. "Tawdry" is that local media's middle name, especially their FAUX affiliate.

there's a book's worth of material to be

written of all the nefarious connections to Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Fl), who has a starring role in this story also.
I can't remember it all, but bradblog has been following all the tentacles emerging from Feeney for years.
There is something for everyone---vote fraud, illegal activities at Wang Enterprises, China, money laundering, suspicious "suicides", other suspicous deaths, Atta on the casino boat, Abramoff and on and on it goes.
Many strange and troubling goings-on----and it seems like Feeney is always there somewhere.

Maybe Feeney's Consultant Knew Too Much

The secrecy of these sexual shenanigans points toward intimidation across the government.

Somewhere there are pretty ruthless enforcers making sure people stay silent.

and I might add that Feeney is best

buds with Jeb Bush. There are still links to the whole mess of shenanigans at http://www.bradblog.com

Who could have foreseen the same relationship on a nationwide scale kidnapping an entire country?
