A recent study which was originally intended to find out how much damage the painkiller Hydrocodone does to the liver, gave JAMA quite a surprise.

Acetaminophen not Hydrocodone was the main culprit.
Cigarettes, Alcohol,age, sex and other factors can increase the problem as well.
